2023 was a major year for Kam, marked by numerous accolades and recognitions. He was honored as the Gatorade MVP on June 23, showcasing his exceptional performance and dedication. Kam received an invitation to the Football University (FBU) Top Gun Showcase in June 2023, further highlighting his elite skills. His talent earned him a spot on the 2023 FBU All Camp Team , as well as the prestigious UA All-American invite. Kam's excellence on and off the field was recognized with the 2023 Caleb Williams Award, and he was invited to the Freshman All-American Game. Additionally, Kam showcased his potential by playing in the Under Armour 8th Grade Game in January 2024. His impressive achievements in 2023 underscore his hard work and promise for the future.

Turner appeared in all 25 games for UCONN from 2021-22, totaling 90 receptions for 759 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to 75 more yards on the ground. He led the Huskies in receptions, his second straight season with a team-high in catches, yards and touchdowns in 2022, finishing with 57 catches for 527 yards and three scores after hauling in in 33 catches for 232 yards in 2021.
